Give a larger tip than usual to local restaurants and small businesses

Small businesses and their workers are really hurting during this crisis. Please consider giving a larger tip than usual to local restaurants and small businesses.  As a guideline, government officials are proposing funding to give all healthcare and essential business workers a 50% bonus until we all get through this together.

Contribute to the National Domestic Workers Alliance

Everyday, over 2.5 million nannies, house cleaners, and care workers do the work of caring and cleaning in our homes.  Domestic workers are the nannies that take care of our children, the house cleaners that bring order to our home, and the care workers that ensure that our loved ones can live with dignity and independently. Domestic workers are majority women, mostly immigrant and women of color.

Founded in 2007, The National Domestic Workers Alliance (NDWA) works for respect, recognition, and inclusion in the labor protections offered to traditionally employed Americans.

The money you donate to the Coronavirus Care Fund will provide immediate financial support for domestic workers, and enable them to stay home and healthy — protecting themselves, their families and their communities while slowing the spread of the Coronavirus.

Smile at every stranger you see; draw a smile on your face mask!

We just realized that even though everyone should be wearing a mask, you can still see people smiling through their eyes! Smiling at a stranger and saying a muffled hello might be the best thing that happens to them all day!
